Creation Process
We create our paintings with museum quality and covering the highest academic standards. Once we get your order, it will be entirely hand-painted with oil on canvas. All the materials we use are the highest level, being totally artist graded painting materials and linen canvas.
We will add 1.6" (4 cm) additional blank canvas all over the painting for stretching.
High quality and detailing in every inch are time consuming. The reproduction of Tiziano Vecellio Titian also needs time to dry in order to be completely ready for shipping, as this is crucial to not be damaged during transportation.
Based on the size, level of detail and complexity we need 8-9 weeks to complete the process.

Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.
You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.
Delivery

In surviving correspondence between Titian and Alfonso d'Este can be found the dates of this masterpiece as well as the part played by the patron, who suggested for the iconography a literary text, the Imagines of Philostratus, which was fashionable at the court, and which Isabella d'Este had had translated.
The picture describes a feast of the inhabitants of Andros, who by the grace of Dionysus, seen arriving on the ship with the white sails, are drinking at a stream of wine and praising its sweetness and strength. The figure of the sleeping nude is an intrusion of an episode of the sleeping Ariadne, abandoned by Theseus at Naxos, whom Dionysus will take with him (the subject of the Bacchanal in London).
With the Worship of Venus, the three paintings form a triptych in which the pagan myth is interpreted with felicity and at the same time with extraordinary control. The study of icono-graphic details in the text or of formal derivations (from antique statuary for the Ariadne and from Michelangelo's cartoon of the Battle of Cascina for the crouching male figure) cannot overwhelm the magnificent composition of figures linked by persuasive rhythms (closed groupings alternating with dynamic lines) and by brilliant colour harmonies. Going beyond the phase of classicism that was called Apollonian, Titian set out to recover its Dionysiac power.
