Creation Process
We create our paintings with museum quality and covering the highest academic standards. Once we get your order, it will be entirely hand-painted with oil on canvas. All the materials we use are the highest level, being totally artist graded painting materials and linen canvas.
We will add 1.6" (4 cm) additional blank canvas all over the painting for stretching.
High quality and detailing in every inch are time consuming. The reproduction of Tiziano Vecellio Titian also needs time to dry in order to be completely ready for shipping, as this is crucial to not be damaged during transportation.
Based on the size, level of detail and complexity we need 8-9 weeks to complete the process.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.
Delivery

E. Liphart, in 1915, ascribed the picture to Paris Bordone, but later supported the authorship of Titian. According to the Hermitage catalogue of 1958, it was painted by the artist jointly with his brother Francesco Vecellio in the early 1500s.
T. Fomichova, however, believes the canvas to be an independent work of Titian's which shows the influence of Carpaccio and Giorgione.X-ray photographs reveal that the figure of St. Joseph was originally painted nearer to the center of the canvas, where we now see the *****. From this fact draws the conclusion that Titian did not use models even in his early works, and built up his compositions directly on canvas. Vasari mentions a Flight into Egypt by Titian which in 1541 hung in the home of Andrea Loredano. In the seventeenth century C. Ridolfi saw it in the collection of the Calergi-Grimanis, descendants of Loredano.
