TOPofART wants to remind you to keep patient, in order to get you the highest quality, being our mission to fulfill your expectations.

We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting The Matterhorn is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

We offer free shipping as well as paid express transportation services.

Over 20 Years Experience
Only Museum Quality

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.

Albert Bierstadt’s "The Matterhorn" is a breathtaking study in contrasts - a clash between the immensity of the Alpine peak and the delicate greenery that lies in its shadow. At the center of the painting, the Matterhorn rises with an almost mythic power, its sharp, chiselled form cutting into the pale blue sky. The snow-covered summit gleams in the sunlight, almost translucent against the mist that clings to its rugged sides. This mountain, painted with a cool, almost ethereal palette, commands the scene with a sense of timelessness - a symbol of nature’s unyielding grandeur.

In the foreground, however, Bierstadt brings us down to earth with an abundance of rich, vibrant greens. He captures the lushness of the lower Alps in painstaking detail: trees rising tall and spindly, a rushing stream cascading over rocks, and patches of wildflowers that add specks of color to the verdant hillsides. This is a softer world, inviting yet still touched by the wildness of the landscape. Bierstadt’s greens are alive - verdant hues that pull the eye downward and away from the towering mountain, drawing us into the intimate beauty of the scene before us.

The composition is beautifully layered, with the sweeping lines of the mountain leading the viewer’s gaze down through the rolling hills, into the forest, and finally settling on the swift-moving stream. This is not just a view; it’s a journey from the sublime heights to the grounded warmth of the alpine forest. Bierstadt’s brushwork captures the texture of each element, from the coarse bark of the trees to the glassy surface of the water that snakes through the underbrush. His technique is masterful yet subtle, his strokes both confident and careful, creating a world that feels almost tactile.

What Bierstadt achieves here is more than a mere landscape. It’s a meditation on scale and presence, on the interplay between the awe-inspiring and the intimate. "The Matterhorn" is both grand and inviting, offering a glimpse of nature’s raw power balanced with quiet, grounded beauty. It’s a scene that holds you, inviting you to linger, to breathe in the stillness, and to feel the immensity of the world around you.
