We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting Early Fall, Smoky River is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

Over 20 Years Experience
Only Museum Quality

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.

Birger Sandzén’s "Early Fall, Smoky River" is a riot of color that defies restraint. It's almost as if Sandzén refused to accept that nature operates within the confines of greens and browns, and instead, he decided to have a color brawl right on his canvas. The trees, with their muscular, twisting forms, stand defiantly against a backdrop that is more a suggestion of sky than a clear depiction. There’s a swagger to these trees, a rebellious energy that flirts with abstraction but keeps one foot rooted in reality. They lean like they’re caught mid-dance in the breeze, yet remain frozen in that pose forever.

What’s particularly striking here is the wild intensity of the colors. The foliage pops in shades of bright yellow, violet, and cobalt, which shouldn’t work together – yet, somehow, they do. Sandzén was known for his thick, impasto brushstrokes, and you can almost feel the weight of the paint on this canvas. There’s a palpable texture, a tactile quality that makes the landscape feel more alive than serene. The river, calm by contrast, mirrors the frenzy above, yet it too shimmers with dabs of pink and orange, like it’s reflecting a sunset that only exists in Sandzén’s mind.

This painting isn’t interested in being "accurate" – it’s far more concerned with how the landscape *feels*. It’s a place where you can practically hear the wind through the branches, feel the brush of leaves, and smell the earth after a rain. Sandzén captures the exuberance of nature, not through precision but through a joyful exaggeration, pulling you into a world where the ordinary turns extraordinary with just a stroke of color.
