The Time it Takes to be Created:To paint your Caspar David Friedrich Hand-Painted Art Reproduction time is needed. The painting should not be made too hastily, nor should any deadlines be pursued. For the painting to acquire high quality and precision of detail, time is necessary. It also needs time to dry in order to be completely ready for shipping. Depending on the complexity, the level of detail, and the size of the painting, we'll need 6-7 weeks to make the painting.
Should a change of deadlines become necessary, or should your order arrive at a time when we are overloaded with work, then we will notify you by e-mail concerning how much time we would need to complete your painting reproduction.
Shipping:We do not frame our oil painting reproductions. You can check the price for shipping of the order on the shopping cart screen.
The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.
The cliffs of Rugen
Friedrich made several visits to this starkly beautiful island off the Pomeranian coast, and was inspired by its sheer, chalk cliffs and rocky shoreline.
Following his marriage, however, Friedrich's work acquired a new tenderness. Chalk Cliffs on Rugen is one of his happier pictures, perhaps a honeymoon momenta.
In 1818, shortly after his marriage, Friedrich took his young wife on a tour of his homeland and together with his favourite brother, Christian, they visited the spectacular white cliffs of Rugen. Friedrich painted this picture later, probably as a honeymoon memento.
In his later works, Friedrich's style became richer and more atmospheric.
