We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting The Flood at Port-Marly is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. Alfred Sisley's "The Flood at Port-Marly, 1876" captures a moment of watery chaos with the cool eye of an Impressionist master. The scene unfolds before us - a submerged street, its buildings rising like islands from the swollen Seine. At the painting's heart stands a sturdy stone house, its blue-shuttered windows and weather-beaten walls a testament to endurance amidst nature's whims.

Sisley's palette is a study in subtle harmonies. Muted grays dominate the sky and water, punctuated by touches of earthy browns and muted greens. The flood's muddy waters reflect the leaden sky, creating a somber atmosphere. Yet hope glimmers in the warm ochres of distant buildings and the crisp white accents of moored boats.

The composition is a marvel of controlled disorder. Vertical lines of buildings and bare trees intersect with the horizontal expanse of floodwater, creating a subtle grid that anchors the eye. Sisley's brushwork ranges from broad, confident strokes defining the water's surface to delicate dabs that bring life to the distant trees and structures.

What's most striking is Sisley's ability to render light and atmosphere. The diffuse glow of a hidden sun softens edges and blurs distinctions between water and sky. This painting isn't just a record of a natural disaster - it's a meditation on the fragile boundary between the human world and the forces of nature. In Sisley's hands, even catastrophe becomes an opportunity for beauty.
