We will add 1.6" (4 cm) additional blank canvas all over the painting for stretching.

We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

Towards the end of his life, the master repeated in this painting the composition he had painted 30 years earlier. Its content, however, is new - the loneliness of human suffering and the passion of coarse passions are conveyed on the canvas with profound tragedy. Only the glow of the torches illuminates the anguish and suffering of the man Christ. With its great expansiveness, the infinite richness of brown tones and the raw power of the brush, this work - one of the artist's last paintings - moves the viewer deeply. The male figure standing back in the foreground reminds us of the elegant, richly dressed figures of his earlier canvases, while the deep drama, passion and dynamism suggest Rembrandt's future art.
