High quality and detailing in every inch are time consuming. The reproduction of George Inness also needs time to dry in order to be completely ready for shipping, as this is crucial to not be damaged during transportation.
Based on the size, level of detail and complexity we need 8-9 weeks to complete the process.

In case the delivery date needs to be extended in time, or we are overloaded with requests, there will be an email sent to you sharing the new timelines of production and delivery.

TOPofART wants to remind you to keep patient, in order to get you the highest quality, being our mission to fulfill your expectations.

We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting October is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

We offer free shipping as well as paid express transportation services.

After adding your artwork to the shopping cart, you will be able to check the delivery price using the Estimate Shipping and Tax tool.

Over 20 Years Experience
Only Museum Quality

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.

The painting portrays a tranquil clearing bordered by gentle rows of tall trees in soft autumn hues. In the foreground, one sees a reflective pond, its surface calmly mirroring the emerald banks and fragments of the sky. A lone figure stands to the right, adding a quietly human dimension to this bucolic landscape. Although the painting is titled "October, 1886," its stylistic traits connect it more closely to Inness's earlier explorations around 1882, suggesting that the dating and naming may stem from posthumous adjustments by dealers and estate organizers.

A subdued palette of greens, browns, and golds colors the terrain, offering a restraint that is more meditative than overtly dramatic. The sky - a gentle interplay of pale blues and softly glowing clouds - contrasts with the warm autumn foliage, allowing one to sense a transition of seasons. By using harmonious shifts rather than stark contrasts, the artist guides the viewer into the calm of the scene without stark confrontations of color.

Inness's brushwork here is notably delicate, marked by a softness that blurs crisp details. This method suggests a measured balance between realism and the artist's personal interpretation. While certain areas, such as the foreground water, display confident strokes that capture reflective highlights and shifting light, other portions fade into looser forms that evoke the ephemeral qualities of nature. This unity of precision and haze reflects an approach well ahead of many American landscapists of the period.

The composition rests on a set of precisely balanced horizontal and vertical elements. The horizon line divides the surface nearly in half, while the vertical axis of the gap in the distant row of trees aligns centrally with its watery reflection. The trees themselves, placed at deliberate intervals, introduce a rhythmic counterpoint that keeps the picture from feeling overly rigid. Notably, the tall tree on the right appears slightly shortened - a modification that disrupts perfect symmetry, encouraging the viewer’s gaze to linger and discern the subtle interplay of shapes and lines.

Inness was known to focus less on titles and precise chronologies, which further complicates the dating of this work. Nevertheless, the geometric discipline observed here - wherein horizon, reflections, and measured divisions define the painting’s underlying order - places the piece at a moment in Inness’s career when he embraced a more synthetic structure. This balanced construction, enhanced by gentle color transitions, exemplifies his vision of nature as both peaceful and quietly dramatic.
