Based on the size, level of detail and complexity we need 8-9 weeks to complete the process.

In case the delivery date needs to be extended in time, or we are overloaded with requests, there will be an email sent to you sharing the new timelines of production and delivery.

TOPofART wants to remind you to keep patient, in order to get you the highest quality, being our mission to fulfill your expectations.

We not stretch and frame our oil paintings due to several reasons:
Painting reproduction is a high quality expensive product, which we cannot risk to damage by sending it being stretched.
Also, there are postal restrictions, regarding the size of the shipment.
Additionally, due to the dimensions of the stretched canvas, the shipment price may exceed the price of the product itself.

You can stretch and frame your painting in your local frame-shop.

Once the painting A Grey Horse is ready and dry, it will be shipped to your delivery address. The canvas will be rolled-up in a secure postal tube.

We offer free shipping as well as paid express transportation services.

After adding your artwork to the shopping cart, you will be able to check the delivery price using the Estimate Shipping and Tax tool.

Over 20 Years Experience
Only Museum Quality

The paintings we create are only of museum quality. Our academy graduated artists will never allow a compromise in the quality and detail of the ordered painting. TOPofART do not work, and will never allow ourselves to work with low quality studios from the Far East. We are based in Europe, and quality is our highest priority.

George Stubbs’ “A Grey Horse” from 1793 feels like a love letter to the delicate power and grace of the equine form. The horse, glowing grey-white against a landscape that seems ready to break into storm, floats as if defying gravity. The tension between the soft, moody sky - with its dramatic, shifting clouds - and the bright figure of the horse gives the painting a sense of impending drama. Stubbs chooses his palette wisely, marrying the muted greens and grays of the background with the startling clarity of the horse’s pale coat.

Compositionally, the horse is central and isolated, as if suspended in time. Its lean, muscular form - captured mid-trot - demands attention, while the surrounding landscape fades into gentle irrelevance. The light tone of the horse isn’t just a flat color; it's a shimmering surface, catching every possible nuance of light. Stubbs doesn’t rely on heavy shadows but uses subtle variations of grey and soft blue to suggest depth. His technique, meticulous yet fluid, highlights the horse's anatomy with scientific precision, while still maintaining an air of grace and ease.

There's a controlled elegance in the way Stubbs positions the horse - it takes up most of the space, dominating the canvas, but never overwhelming it. The composition is balanced, the movement frozen in time, yet full of life. The sky, dark and restless, contrasts with the calm, almost noble presence of the horse. This is Stubbs at his best, merging his anatomical knowledge with an emotional undercurrent that speaks of reverence for the animal’s beauty and power. It's as much a celebration of the horse as it is a study in light and movement.
